AnAn Bears








Alaska Waters provides high quality, fully guided bear viewing experiences at AnAn Wildlife Observatory. AnAn is one of the rare places in Alaska where you can view both Brown Bears and Black Bears. Take a look at some recent photosw taken at AnAn.





Captain Jim has lived in Alaska for 30 years. He has over 17,000 hours experience operating boats in Alaska. He stresses safety in all of his operations. He is an EMT II and a member of Wrangell Search and Rescue. He is Chairman of City of Wrangell Port Commission and President of the Wrangell Chamber of Commerce. His passion is the outdoors and it shows in every aspect of his life. We carry high powered rifles in bear country.

Class IV Whitewater by Jet Boat


We travel by jet boat into the Grand Canyon of the Stikine about 20 miles or a little more. We encounter class III and class IV whitewater depending upon river levels. Take a look at some of the scenery in the canyon. These Grand Canyon tours are included in our Safari packages.
